2 | Federal University of Education, Pankshin (Establishment) Bill 2020
This is one of the most significant pieces of legislation that Rt. Hon. Gagdi pursues with vigour and passion. The Bill seeks to establish a Federal University of Education in Pankshin which is within the Federal Constituency of the Member. In addition to the promotion of educational development of his constituents, it will facilitate job creation, commerce and development of the area as a whole.

3 | Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Act
This is a law that governs maritime related matters in Nigeria. It was established to promote maritime safety and security; protection in the maritime environment, shipping registration and commercial shipping amongst others. The Amendment Bill seeks to improve on the 2007 Act legislation and performances of the maritime sector in Nigeria thereby contribute towards security and performance of water transportation.

4 | Chartered Institute of Human Resources and Strategic Management of Nigeria (Establishment) Bill, 2020
In every human relationship either formal or informal, human beings display attitudes, characters and behaviours that are conflicting with others, as a result of personal indifferences due to social, economic, religious and educational background. To stem the tide of low human resources capacity utilization, the Chartered Institute of Human Resources and Strategic Management of Nigeria (Establishment) Bill becomes imperative. This Bill is also central towards improving on the legality of Human Resources and Strategic Management in Nigeria.

5 | Nigeria Steel Development Authority Act (Amendment) Bill, 2020
Housing is central to the development of every nation. It is against this background that Rt. Hon. Gagdi considered this Bill significant. The Bill seeks to enhance the quality of steel development by seeking to amend the Nigerian Steel Development Authority Act 2004. As a statutory corporation, the Steel Development Authority will be more efficient towards the management of national iron and steel sector in Nigeria. It is expected that apart from contributing to procurement of materials for construction, operation and maintenance, it will enhance the regulatory framework of the Steel Development Authority.

6 | Nigeria Red Cross Society Act (Amendment) Bill 2020
The Red Cross Society has been useful to the management of humanitarian crises and disaster in Nigeria. However, the Nigeria Red Cross Society Act Cap. N 130 Law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 2004 requires amendment in order to improve on its complementary role of humanitarian interventions in line with Geneva Conventions of which Nigeria is a state party.

7 | Nigeria Mining Corporation Act (Amendment) Bill 2020
It will be noted that the mining sector in Nigeria contributes meaningfully to the development of the Nigerian economy. Consequently, the establishment of the Nigerian Mining Corporation as a statutory corporation empowered to engage in prospecting for mining and refining minerals of various kinds has become significant. Plateau State as a hub for mining in Nigeria shall benefit significantly from this amendment as the Bill seeks to assist private miners to organize their activities effectively in the industry.

8 | Chartered Institute of Finance and Control of Nigeria (Establishment) Bill 2020
Accountability, transparency and probity in the management of public funds are key to the fight against corruption in Nigeria. To this end, the need to establish the Chartered Institute of Finance and Control of Nigeria has become an imperative. In 2020, Rt. Hon. Gagdi sponsored and presented before the National Assembly, a bill for Establishment of the Institute.

9 | Nigerian Police Academy (Establishment, etc) Bill 2020
Security is key to the socio-economic development of the people. This Bill thus becomes significant to the people as it seeks to enhance the legal framework for the establishment of the Nigerian Police Academy. The academy will among other things contribute towards the training and development of a pool of police men and women whose landmark performance would be felt in curbing insecurity in our communities. The Bill has received accelerated hearing. |
